Il Pink Refugees è un gruppo dedicato all’accoglienza e al mutuo ed auto aiuto di richiedenti asilo e migranti LGBT. Dopo quasi sette anni di lavoro ci siamo resi conto di come l’alloggio sia un bisogno primario, molto difficile da soddisfare, quindi abbiamo deciso di costruire un progetto di Co-Housing per migranti.

Verona e la sua provincia sono un territorio molto difficile per i migranti in cerca di alloggio. Coloro che lasciano i centri di accoglienza governativi, anche dopo aver ottenuto i documenti, affrontano sfiducia e sfruttamento mentre cercano un posto dove vivere.

Fornire alloggi non è l’unico obiettivo del progetto, che prevede infatti anche di favorire l’avvicinamento tra migranti LGBT ed eterosessuali, e di dare continuità al programma di accoglienza del governo, che non prevede il “dopo”.

Il progetto di Co-Housing non dovrebbe concludersi al termine dei 12 mesi previsti, dovrebbe proseguire oltre ed essere gestito interamente dagli stessi abitanti delle case, che nei primi 12 mesi sperimenteranno la gestione dello spazio abitativo che in seguito dovranno sostenere in completa autonomia.

Pink Refugees is a group dedicated to the reception and the mutual support of LGBT asylum seekers and migrants. After almost seven years of work, we have realized how housing is a primary need, very hard to fullfill, this is why we decided to build a Co-Housing project for migrants.

Verona and its province is a very difficult territory for migrants looking for housing. Those who leave the governative camps, even after obtaining documents, face mistrust and exploitation while looking for a place to live.

Providing housing is not the only aim of the project. It also plans to bring migrants of different sexual orientations closer to eachother, and to give continuity to the government reception program, which does not provide for “after it”.

The Co-Housing project should not end at the end of the planned 12 months, it should continue beyond that and be managed entirely by the inhabitants themselves. In the 12 first months, the inhabitants of the houses will experience the management of a living space, which they will later have to sustain in complete autonomy.

Pink Refugees est un groupe dédié à l’accueil et au soutien mutuel des demandeurs d’asile et des migrants LGBT. Après presque sept ans de travail, nous avons réalisé que le logement est un besoin primaire, très difficile à satisfaire, c’est pourquoi nous avons décidé de construire un projet de Co-Housing pour les migrants.

Vérone et sa province est un territoire très difficile pour les migrants à la recherche d’un logement. Ceux qui quittent les camps gouvernementaux, même après avoir obtenu des papiers, sont confrontés à la méfiance et à l’exploitation lorsqu’ils cherchent un endroit où vivre.

Fournir un logement n’est pas le seul objectif du projet. Il prévoit également de rapprocher les migrants de différentes orientations sexuelles et de donner une continuité au programme d’accueil gouvernemental, qui ne prévoit pas d’”après”.

Le projet Co-Housing ne doit pas s’arrêter à la fin des 12 mois prévus, il doit se poursuivre au-delà et être entièrement géré par les habitants eux-mêmes. Au cours des 12 premiers mois, les habitants des maisons feront l’expérience de la gestion d’un espace de vie, qu’ils devront par la suite entretenir en toute autonomie.
